The IGDA and Take This also enter a partnership to host a Virtual Game Development Crisis Conference (VGDCC) to equip industry leaders with the knowledge and tools needed to sustain successful development in times of crisis. A series of webinars will take place every Thursday from April 2 to the date of the conference, May 14, 2020, with both the webinars and the conference taking place on the IGDA Twitch channel at no cost to viewers.
The webinars leading into the VGDCC will feature presentations from speakers such as Bungie Diversity, Inclusion, and Learning Lead Kelsey Wesley, Kitfox Games Community Manager Victoria Tran, and Spry Fox Game Designer Pat Kemp on topics including self-care and community management during a crisis. VGDCC itself will cover the ongoing challenges and opportunities of making games during an international pandemic.
For more information, follow the IGDA Twitter, IGDA Facebook, Take This Twitter, and Take This Facebook, or join the IGDA Discord. All webinars and conference workshops will take place publicly on the IGDA Twitch channel.
