We are pleased to announce the publication of our newest white paper! Designing Games to Challenge the Stigma Around Mental Health was written by Take This intern and York University PhD student Matthew Whitby and our research director Dr. Rachel Kowert.
It is a practical tool for game designers to help them build games that actively challenge stigma around mental health – or, at least, not contribute more to stigma.
The paper outlines a set of questions for studio leads, designers, and community managers to ask as they create a game that can help them avoid common pitfalls and build a world class game while treating mental health with sensitivity and accuracy.
