Since Take This was founded, one of our most important services to the community has been our Mental Health Resources Page and our flowchart on how to find a therapist. It’s been ten years, though, since the organization was founded, and things have changed! So, to celebrate our 10th anniversary (the actual date is November 7), we’re launching an update of a number of our most important resources.
To start, we have updated our How to Find a Therapist information by including country-specific, separate articles for the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and Canada will be coming soon! We’ve also created two new resources designed to help you find the right therapist and ensure that you’re able to get what you need out of the therapeutic relationship.
We’ve made a number of these updates at the suggestion of our Community Review Board, which assesses our materials for relevance to a diverse audience each quarter. We are very appreciative of the ways they have pushed us to improve our resources. You can expect to see additional updates to our resources over the next few months, including information about the 988 crisis line in the US and better information about telehealth and online therapy.
